Harry has engineering and management experience in large and startup companies. He was a founding member of two successful Silicon Valley startups -- Siri, Inc. (acquired by Apple in 2010) and Curbside, Inc. (acquired by Rakuten in 2018). At Apple, he was a software engineering manager responsible for the development of Siri natural language applications such as Reminder, Sports, Maps Search and Restaurant Reservations. At Curbside, as a Director of Engineering, he was responsible for the development of Curbside location-aware technology.
Harry Chen has a computer science Ph.D. degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He is the co-inventor of Siri and Curbside technology patents. He is the author of 30+ scientific publications in advanced web technologies, mobile computing and artificial intelligence. Harry and his family currently live in Shanghai, China.

Currently, Joey is a Senior Director of Technology and Operations at Blizzard Entertainment. He is renowned for being a founding member of the Technology Operations group, and primary leader for all internationalized technology for Blizzard Entertainment, including the production and corporate networks for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Joey brings over 15 years of experience in operations and defense logistics. Joey served as the Fiber Chief of Staff for Network Engineering and Operations with Alphabet Inc., Manager of the Corporate Risk and Global Security Operations with Google, the Joint Logistics Integrator and Chief of Information Assurance with Science Applications International Corporation, and the Network Operations and Security Center Chief for the United States Department of Defense. Joey has created a global reputation as a leader in the development of corporate risk management and consumer operations.
Joey earned his Master’s Certification Program in Six Sigma at Villanova University, following his Bachelor of Arts in International Law with a Business Cognate and a Minor in Economics. Joey also has received certification for Server and Network Management, A+, Cryptography, and Sociology with the Marine Corps School of Infantry, Camp Pendleton, California.
During Joey’s distinguished military career, he received two meritorious promotions for exceptional performance in military duties, along with eight campaign medals and ribbons, while serving for his country in four international deployments. He continued to proudly serve his community through various endeavors including the Toys for Tots program, Chair of the US Kuwait Golf Club, VetNet workshops for Veterans, and most recently hosting Tech Talks on thought leadership and operationalizing a global workforce.

Ted's team developed a 12-bit, 700KSPS ADC, that works up to AEC’s (Automotive Electronics Council) highest specified temperature of 150ºC. This ADC performance (ENOB or Effective Number of Bits, power, etc.) and temperature range is one of the best in the industry. Ted's team also developed a series of "High PSRR, Low Noise, Low Power LDO” and shipped to leading smartphone companies such as Samsung and Xiaomi, exceeding 4 billion units. This LDO series is now the industry leader in performance and market share.
Ted worked for Intel, AMD, and PLX (IPO in 1999 and later acquired by Broadcom) in various positions before he started Berkeley Analog. Ted was a Technology Advisor and Board Member with Oplink (Nasdaq: OPLK). Koch Industries acquired Oplink for $445 million in 2014. Ted passed the Ph.D. qualifying exam in physics from Purdue University then received his master's degree in electrical engineering from UC Berkeley.

Currently, David is a Software Engineer for Qualcomm Inc., an American multinational semiconductor and telecommunications equipment company that designs and markets wireless telecommunications products and services.
Previously, David spent seven years as a Software Engineer for Samsung’s San Jose Mobile Communications Lab. During his career with Samsung, David earned an Extraordinary Achievement Award for the JSR184 Engine Development. He also held multiple patents, including “Apparatus and Method for Stereoscopic Video with Motion Sensors”, “Apparatus and Method for Adaptive Camera Control Method Based on Predicted Trajectory”, “Apparatus and Method for 3D Font Engine”, “3D Graphical User Interface”, and “NFC Reverse Authentication”.
David started his education in Software Engineering in China at the Shandong University of Technology, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Material Science and Engineering. He then received his Master’s in Computer Science at the Zhejiang University. David moved to the US in 2006 and enrolled at the University of Central Florida, where he earned his PhD in Computer Science and was granted the Hillman Fellowship award. David is fluent in both English and Chinese, but his favorite language is C, C++, and Java.
David is highly driven and passionate about continuously pushing the technology industry forward, in a world where innovation and productivity is essential to human progress.

Ben W. Segura is an Executive Advisory Board Member with About The Kids Foundation, a father of two, a brilliant innovator and researcher of fiber and optics. Ben is a knowledgeable engineer specializing in network deployment strategy and innovation.
Currently, Ben is the Manager of Innovation for Google Fiber, driving the next iteration of the Google Fiber network aiming to deploy the internet experience faster, more affordable, and more reliable than ever, whilst ensuring the network supports the applications of the future through research and development of optical and wireless technologies.
Ben developed the capex model for the Google Fiber network and contributed to the RFP’s, vendor selections, and technical feasibility studies that were used to secure the bonds for a retail offering of voice video and data services to residential and business customers. He later became a Licensed Professional Engineer where he designed, managed, and operated the Core Network Infrastructure to thousands of homes and businesses.
Ben holds three patents in optical systems and currently has another seven patents pending for other deployment technologies. He provides direct technical expertise and leads the Technical Due Diligence team that supports the business development arm of Google Fiber for all large-scale merger and acquisition strategies, as well as direct negotiation involvement of expansion initiatives using existing and newly constructed networks over which Google Fiber will provide service – Huntsville Utilities being the first of its kind.
A native of Lafayette, Louisiana, Ben earned his Electrical Engineering degree at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Before moving to the Bay Area and joining Google, Ben was an Engineer at Lafayette Utilities System for nine years. Also during this time, he spent about three years volunteering as an Instructor with Junior Achievement USA, teaching advanced technology concepts, and inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy.
Ben strives to achieve his long-term goal of making the internet ubiquitous, seamless, faultless, and safe for all who traverse the universal network.

PacketCable, Packet Technologies, Telebit, Stratacom, Metricom/Ricochet, UUNet, Cisco, Sunrise, FoodSwing, and Savannah-Chanelle Vineyards are among a list of companies that Michael has founded, assisted in developing and/or found exits for. He is currently leading ALeyeGN Technologies LLC, an ophthalmic, surgical-laser device startup. ALeyeGN is developing new treatments for Glaucoma and other chronic, degenerative retinal disorders such as Diabetic Retinopathy and Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD).
Considered a renaissance man, Michael has seen success in a range of fields which have resulted in a deep understanding of business processes, entrepreneurial stages, disruptive technologies and the patient management of the creative process. “You can’t schedule invention” is the mantra he manages by.
Beginning in 1979, Michael worked closely with Silicon Valley pioneer Paul Baron, who in the mid-sixties, was the individual credited with the invention of “packet switching” while working for the Rand Corporation on Second-Strike capabilities for the United States Air Force. This telecommunication revolutionizing technology formed the basis of what would become the ARPAnet, which would shortly morph into the Internet as we know it today. Email, the original “killer app” began at Bell Labs and Berkeley in the form of the Unix to Unix Copy Program (UUCP) email program. UUNet was positioned as the first commercial email service, spawned with funding from the USENIX – The Advanced Computing Systems Association. UUNET was then serendipitously positioned to evolve into the first ever TCP/IP commercial service provider. They built AOL’s and Microsoft’s dial-up networks, the commercial Internet was well underway. The rest is Internet history.
Today, in addition to running ALeyeGN, Michael lives in Saratoga, California with his wife Kellie, at Savannah-Chanelle Vineyards, the 127-year-old Santa Cruz Mountain’s, award winning Pinot Noir producer. The Renaissance goes on…

He served as the Global Private Equity Tax Sector Leader at EY, and also led the Asia Pacific International Tax Services practice in Hong Kong, and was the leader of the Pacific Northwest International Tax Practice. Having augmented his credentials as an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley during his career, John has built a global reputation as a thought leader in taxation of financial institutions, derivatives, and cross-border investment transactions, as well as global private equity and debt capital market financing transactions.
John earned his J.D. at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, where he has had the honor to serve as an Associate Professor during the 2016-2017 academic year, and his B.A. in Economics with Distinction from St. Olaf College. John also earned his Series 7 and Series 48 certifications.
John and his three sons share a passion for the outdoors along with their sidekick and hunting dog, Luna. Michael Claeys is an Executive Advisory Board Member with About the Kids Foundation. Over the past 30 years, he has crafted a diverse career working in government, non-profit, industry, and academic settings; Michael is a passionate and effective messenger, a ‘translator’ of complex scientific stories to a variety of professional and lay audiences.
Michael earned a Political Science degree from the California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo and built on that education by securing a series of legislative aid positions in the US House of Representatives. During his four years in the nation’s capitol, he managed a wide range of issues from defense and foreign affairs to medical research and campaign finance reform. Michael’s skills in clear and persuasive writing secured him leading roles as a speech and correspondence writer.
In 1994, he left Washington to work on the successful reelection campaign of Representative Lynn Woolsey of Petaluma, California. He then became the Public Policy Coordinator and a Federal lobbyist for the Parkinson’s Action Network, the nation’s leading advocacy organization for Parkinson’s disease research. This experience led to a position as a Research Program Manager and one of the first hires, for The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. In addition to his research program responsibilities, Michael served as Michael J. Fox’s political advisor and speechwriter, drafting numerous public statements, including high-profile Congressional testimony.
In 2004 Michael again returned to his native California to marry and start a family. He consulted for the successful campaign for Proposition 71, the California Stem Cell Research and Cures Act, which led to full-time policy and communications positions with the non-profits Alliance for Stem Cell Research and the Parkinson’s Institute.
In 2008 Michael transitioned to the biopharmaceutical industry as a Public Affairs Manager with Gilead Sciences, Inc. His experience there led him to a role as Senior Communications Manager for the Stanford Cancer Institute. During his six years at Stanford, he produced a wide variety of original internal and external communications, led the overhaul of the Institute’s website and interviewed dozens of renown scientists, patients and advocates, including scientist/author Siddhartha Mukherjee, MD, and actor/advocate Alan Alda.
Michael maintains his consulting firm, Open Mind Consulting, based in Los Altos, California. He skis and plays guitar with his daughter Rhys and loves to cycle to the Stanford University driving range to knock some of the rust off his golf game.

Bin assumes a wide range of roles and responsibilities with the company, not only as an expert and IT strategist on Oracle technology stack, but also heading Hand’s product division. He’s participated in and managed more than 20 Oracle E-Business Suite and SAP projects over the years and has acquired extensive knowledge with a wide range of industries.
Bin pioneered the launch of Hand’s first offshore development team in 2007, and initiated the partnership with US company Callidus Software to implement the Callidus Solution in AIA China/Taiwan (American International Assurance). Starting his career in Shanghai, Bin developed a simple solution to translate major financial statements into Chinese, leading a custom development project for GE Industry, Chinese. Bin has built a global reputation for his contributions in offshore IT development and overseas agile Implementation projects.
During his 20 years of IT experience, Bin has developed a wide range of key skill sets including IT architectural design, functional knowledge with major ERP products, custom development experience, project management, and technical consulting. Joseph Lim is an Executive Advisory Board Member with About The Kids Foundation. Professor Lim joined the University of Southern California (USC) as an assistant professor on January 1st, 2017.
Previously, Professor Lim was a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory with the Computer Vision group led by Professor Fei-Fei Li. Before that, he completed his PhD at Massachusetts Institute of Technology under the guidance of Professor Antonio Torralba and also had a half-year long postdoc under Professor William Freeman. He received his bachelor’s degree at the University of California - Berkeley, where he worked in the Computer Vision lab under the guidance of Professor Jitendra Malik. He also has spent time at Microsoft Research, Adobe Creative Technologies Lab, and Google.

Zeki earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (ITU), and continued on to earn his Masters from Texas A&M University. His early work experience consisted of market analysis design and strategic planning. He transitioned into a business development and system engineering role, specializing in battery management solutions for Texas Instruments. Soon after, Zeki moved to the Bay Area where he became the Business Director for Integrated Device Technology, Inc. In the interim years before becoming CEO of CRATUS, Zeki was the Director of Applications and Marketing for Synaptics, and a Board Member and Founder of CharloT Wireless, Inc.

Upon completion of her training, she was recruited back to Washington University, where she served as a subject matter expert in facial plastic surgery.
Dr. Hessler then moved to the Bay Area, where she founded a practice in Palo Alto, CA featuring a comprehensive aesthetic center and outpatient surgical suite. Dr. Hessler is one of very few Bay Area plastic surgeons to obtain double board certification, which requires rigorous training and a meticulous record. Her entire practice is dedicated to surgical facial rejuvenation of the face and cosmetic minimally invasive treatments of the face and body, and she has performed more than 4,000 sophisticated surgical procedures to date.
In addition to her highly recognized aesthetic practice, Dr. Hessler also serves as an adjunct clinical faculty at Stanford University and has been invited to speak at over 50 national plastic surgery conferences to teach her surgical techniques on advanced facelifting, eyelid surgery and overall facial rejuvenation. At the forefront of surgical technology including lasers and non- invasive practices, she also trains practitioners across California on advanced injection techniques of fillers and neuromodulators, such as Botox and Dysport. To decrease the chance of bruising and swelling from filler injections, Dr. Hessler was an early adopter of the use of cannulas and selected to lead the national FDA clinical trial for blunt tipped cannulas combined with hyaluronic acid fillers.
Dr. Hessler has also been honored with the Glasglow Women in Medicine Award and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Hessler remains committed to plastic surgery advancement and education, both locally and nationally.

She holds a BS degree in Health Planning & Administration and a Master’s degree in Public Administration both from Penn State University. She was a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative with Abbott and Knoll and successfully marketed a portfolio of cardiovascular, endocrine/metabolic, anti-infectives, and pain products to physicians, hospitals, and pharmacists.
She was promoted to District Manager to provide leadership, strategic direction, and sales mentoring and coaching in Williamsport/Butler PA territory. She received numerous DM Awards for surpassing quotas and accomplishing territory objectives.
During a recent career hiatus to provide full-time care to two gravely ill family members, she immersed herself in researching clinical trials, advocating for patients, and kept her skills sharp through rigorous volunteer and part-time roles. After being widowed, she returned to her career and is currently a practice administrator for an oral surgery and dental implant center and is launching a medical spa/esthetics business.
With a focus on business development, territory management, marketing, operations and general office administration, she is able to help organizations support people in their quest for health and wellness. She is a loving, dedicated mother to a beautiful daughter who loves ballet and dance; they reside in Pennsylvania with their loyal chihuahua, Cosmo.

Advertising is Melissa’s native language and she is fluent in all aspects of art direction and copy writing She uses both copy and the language of type, color, layout, and media to translate the client’s needs into engaging ideas and memorable brands. Melissa has worked with well known companies and advertising agencies in San Francisco, Honolulu, and Los Angeles. Her artistic talent shaped collateral and advertising/direct mail for Amazon, SF MOMA, Time/Life Inc. and Hawaiian Airlines, to name just a few. She attended School of Visual Arts in New York for a couple years and graduated from University of Hawaii, Manoa with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
Her experience in DM marketing includes A/B testing, B2B, B2C as well as Marketing Automation & CRM. Her most current e-mail campaigns were conducted at both Chase.com and at at Watt Stopper where she was responsible for managing all out going campaigns for clients. There, he directed the Section’s Junior Golf and Assistant Professional Tournament and Education programs, with emphasis in Golf in Schools and partnership with the First Tee of Metropolitan New York. In late 2002, Alexander joined the staff at the PGA of America’s National Headquarters in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. From 2002-2007, he was involved with every aspect of event operations overseen by the PGA of America including the PGA Junior Series, Member Championships, Senior PGA Championships, PGA Championships and Ryder Cups. Looking for more industry experience, Alexander accepted a position with the Ladies Professional Golf Association as a Tournament Official in early 2007. Over the last 13 seasons, his focus has been on developing new event sites internationally in Australia, The Bahamas, Brazil, China, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. During his tenure with the LPGA, Alexander represented the LPGA on the R&A / USGA Rules of Golf Committee during the term of 2011 – 2017. Over an 18-year career, Alexander has been involved with the operation of countless professional golf tournaments including sixty Men’s and Women’s Major Championships (The Masters, PGA Championships, Open Championships, Ryder Cup, ANA Inspiration, Women’s PGA Championships, US Women’s Open, Women’s British Open and the Evian Championship). A devoted wife of 25 years and mother of two incredible children, Jodi has a nursing career spanning over 35 years.
Currently, Jodi is the Assistant Manager for the Outpatient Surgery Department at the Los Gatos El Camino Hospital campus. She has held this position since 2009. Before becoming a part of the management team, Jodi had trained in multiple areas of nursing, such as Dialysis, Endoscopy, Critical Care, Pre/Post Surgery, and Home Health.
Jodi started her professional career in 1979 as an EKG technician, before becoming a Registered Nurse at the highly acclaimed, Magnet status El Camino Hospital in Mountain View and Los Gatos, California.
Jodi loves the management aspect of nursing, yet she remains extremely focused on patient care, evidence based practice, and patient safety. Jodi strongly believes in, and advocates for, the mission of El Camino Hospital. Their mission is “to be an innovative, publicly accountable and locally controlled comprehensive healthcare organization that cares for the sick, relieves suffering and provides quality, cost-competitive services to improve the health and well-being of our community.”
Jodi was born and raised in Silicon Valley, where she continues to live with her family. In her free time, Jodi enjoys golfing, softball, skiing, boating and watching the sunset.

Lyssa-Jenness Roselli is an Executive Advisory Board Member with About The Kids Foundation. A proud mother of two, Lyssa-Jenness brings over 20 years of experience in the fields of Speech-Language Pathology, Education, and as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician.
With a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Lyssa-Jenness has spent the last 13 years providing speech therapy to youth in the San Jose area. She is also a United States Air Force Veteran with strong ties to her community and love for her country.
Currently, Lyssa-Jenness is working in the Cambrian School District of San Jose. Lyssa-Jenness creates and conducts speech and language therapy for students with such disabilities, catering to each individual student, who require different approaches based on their individual needs. Along with helping the students through therapy, Lyssa-Jenness collaborates with the administration, parents, resource specialists, and psychologists to provide the best support and achievement of long-term goals for each individual student. Prior to becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist, Lyssa-Jenness worked as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician and Program Specialist. Working alongside psychologists, Lyssa-Jenness provided direct care and guidance to individuals with severe disabilities. She is an advocate for social awareness of disabilities in various campaigns around the Bay Area.
Lyssa-Jenness earned her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2003 from San Jose State University, following her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2000. In 1991, Lyssa-Jenness graduated from Mission College as Valedictorian with an Associate of Science degree in Psychiatric Technology. Lyssa-Jenness remains active in both the California and American Speech-Language-Hearing Associations, as well as the California Teachers Association. She has also received the following certifications: Certificate of Clinical Competence, CCC-SLP (ASHA); California State Licensure (Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board); Clinical Rehabilitative Services Credential.
